Nepal,our country is extended 26  22 to 30 27 North latitude and 80 4 to 88 12 East longitude.
she is nearly is the middle part of Asia.Her East-West length is approximately 885 km.and breadth is more than 240 km.and narrowness 144 km. the total area of her domain is 1,47,181 square km. she has occupied 0.03%area of the total area of the earth topography and of Asian continent 0.3% land.so, she is many fold smaller than many countries of the world and bigger than so many countries.Russian is 152 fold bigger{than Nepal }, China 65 fold bigger and Indian 22 fold bigger than Nepal.And Nepal is 8 fold bigger than Bhutan,484 fold bigger than Maldives, double bigger than Srilanka,three fold bigger than Switzerland and 81,767 fold bigger than Mona[Africa] the smallest country of the world.
With the population point of view China has 63 fold population than Nepal and India has 44 fold more than Nepal.she has 96 fold more than Maldives, 147 fold more than Bhutan and 8050 fold more than Folkland the least populated country in the world. The ratio of population is not stable thing so it is transitary and commutative {alternative}.India has surrounded Nepal from three sides-east,west and south and from the north Tibet,an autonomous state and of China.Along with this case there is no any connection or touch to the sea by any corner of her geographical boundary.so,she is a land 
-locked country.
Looking the geographical position of her His Majesty king Prithvi narayan shah the Great had named her as a 'buffer' state.because of her geographical position she has a pervasive & deep impact on social ,economic,cultural,political and others from both side of the nation.Nepal has nearly two thousand millions population.
Till few years back a Nepalese maxim of aphorism called "Green forest is the asset of Nepal"was popular here, but now the aphorism is survived in only for name.According to the experts minimum 33%of the green forest are essential to maintain environment balanced.Among the available natural resources Water resources is one of them.we can produce hydro-electricity if we are capable to utilize water- resource.we can have a great source of income if we produce Hydro-electricity power.  
Nepal is a meeting place of different religions.Lumbini  the birth place of Lord Buddha is the greatest shrine for all the Buddhist of the world whereas the Pasupatinath Temple is one of the most religious sacrosanct god of the Hindus.
